Prescription Benefits
Health New England's (HNE) Medicare Advantage Plan offers prescription drug coverage access to over 66,000 retail pharmacies nationwide through our Pharmacy Benefit Manager, National Pharmaceutical Services (NPS). HNE Medicare Advantage has contracts with pharmacies that equal or exceed the CMS requirements for pharmacy access in your area.
Your Plan has a formulary, which is a list of covered drugs that are selected by a team of health care providers. The formulary represents the prescription therapies believed to be a necessary part of a quality treatment program. HNE will generally cover the drugs listed in our formulary as long as the drug is medically necessary, the prescription is filled at a network pharmacy, and other plan rules are followed. This formulary may change during this year.
